Vineyards: steep-terraced plots around the village of Winningen; mainly in Winninger Hamm (ca. 30%). Soil: slate. Vinification: skin contact, wild-yeast fermentation on fine lees in stainless-steel tanks; no fining. Notes: Von den Terrassen (literally, “from the terraces”); non-chaptalized, dry-fermented Riesling.
